Conservation Corps Assistant

Description: 

Our Corps plays a pivotal and integral role in the larger Trail Conference mission as it trains, enables, and empowers future conservation leaders by teaching sustainable trail building and stewardship techniques.

The essential goal of the position is to assist the Conservation Corps Manager with fundraising, tabling, data entry and tracking, and scheduling.

Responsibilities Include:

  • General office duties including, but not limited to, filing, database management, program email and calendar/scheduling management
  • Auditing of and verifying time sheets and data inputs are correct
  • Grant-writing
  • Fund-raising through cold calls, email requests, partnership reach-out
  • Maintaining detailed database of donations requested, processed, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Fund-raising skills 
  • Data entry
  • Donation tracking 
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook

Upbeat and outgoing individual with a good sense of humor who is passionate about the environment/conservation efforts, is a plus!

Work will primarily be done at the TC Headquarters and occasionally from home, with additional opportunities to assist with public engagement.

The Conservation Corps Assistant will be trained by the Trail Conference Conservation Corps Manager about our overall Corps program, mission statement and what our future plans are to assist with funding efforts as well as overall assistance in managing the Corps program.

10-12 hours/week, flexible schedule
