Ecological Stewardship Volunteer Opportunities

Description:

Invasive Strike Force

Join our Habitat Helpers Native Plant Crew
Our Habitat Helpers crew manages the native plant garden that surrounds our headquarters in Mahwah, NJ. Join our Habitat Helpers to learn more about a variety of native plant species and help with pruning, planting, weeding, watering, and seed collection for the garden!

Become an Invasives Strike Force Surveyor
Our Invasives Strike Force Surveyor volunteers play a key role in identifying invasive plant species across our region. Our Surveyors attend a workshop to learn how to identify a variety of invasive plant species and then they are assigned a section of land to survey for these plants. We rely on reports from our Surveyors to help inform our management plan for invasive species in the region.

Volunteer with our Invasives Strike Force Crews
Our Invasives Strike Force removal crews hold work trips to remove invasive plant species throughout the region to improve the health of our ecosystems.
