Grant Researcher

Description: 

The Trail Conference is looking for members and volunteers to research grant opportunities for the Trail Conference’s diverse range of work. After a brief training at our Headquarters in Mahwah, NJ, you will be ready to start conducting online research of grant opportunities. Grants support our efforts working on trails, saving land, controlling invasives species, providing environmental stewardship and more. By researching corporation and foundations, the goal of the Grant Researcher is to identify and evaluate potential funders for our programs. 

Responsibilities:

Research, identify and help prioritize grant opportunities

Convey opportunities to the Development Team

Highlight the best opportunities to pursue

Work with Trail Conference staff and volunteers

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Trail Conference products and our mission

Experience with grant research or writing

Knowledge of and Access to Foundation Center

Ability to research and report on results in a clear, concise manner

Ability to work individually and with team members.

Members and/or current volunteers strongly preferred

This research can be performed remotely.

Time Commitment: 

2 hours, 1-2 days/month
