Winter Trek Art Exhibition Call for Entries

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference will accept submissions of artwork, starting October 4th, for a group exhibition featuring the trails in winter.

The New York – New Jersey Trail Conference invites fine artists, craft artists, and photographers to submit artwork for a new group exhibition featuring the trails in winter.  With a deadline of submission of November 12th we are looking to feature your Winter Trek.   Send us your landscape, trail trek, snow-covered vista meadow flora or fauna, winter wildlife –- or something experienced during winter that has inspired you to capture a moment and create something from your Winter Trek.  Please, submit only works not previously installed at a Trail Conference Art Exhibition within the last 12 months. 

All two-dimensional works will be considered. The exhibition will be exhibited at the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference Headquarters, 600 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ.  The WINTER TREK exhibition will run January 11, 2019 – March 6, 2019.  Opening Reception is Jan 17, 2019 5:30-7:30 pm (weather permitting). 

Artists who are Trail Conference Members may submit digital images of up to three artworks for an entry fee of $15.00.  Non-members entry fee is $25.00 for one to three artworks.  Full description with instructions for submitting your digital entry(s) can be found at the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference website: www.nynjtc.org

Accepted artworks may be offered for sale. 20% of any sale, along with the show entry fee, will benefit the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference.  The show will be juried and prizes will be awarded at the January 17th Opening Reception. 

Work must be framed and ready for hanging. 

Submission Deadline: Monday, November 12th

After you submit, you will receive a confirmation email that your submission has been received. Notification of results will be emailed after November 6, 2018. Accepted artwork must be delivered to the Trail Conference during business hours between January 7 through January 9, 2019. We are sorry, but we do not have the capability to handle shipped artwork.

Accepted works may be offered for sale. 20% of any sale, along with the show entry fee, will benefit the excellent work and programs of the Trail Conference. Unsold artwork must be picked up between March 6 - March 8, 2019.

Applicants may submit digitally 1 to 3 images for consideration using the form below. All images must be submitted in JPEG, GIF or PNG format and RGB color mode. Maximum file size: 10.0 MB per image.  Digital file submissions should include the name of artist and title of work (artistname_artworktitle.jpg) so they can be easily identified. Deadline for submissions is April 16.

  •   Delivery of Artwork: Monday January 7 – Wednesday January 9, 2019
  •   Exhibition Opens: Friday, January 11, 2019
  •   Opening Reception: Thursday, January 17, 2019   5:30 – 7:30 pm
  •   Exhibition Closes: Tuesday, March 5, 2019
  •   Pick-up of Unsold Artwork: Wednesday March 6 - Friday March 8, 2019
