perfect with young kids
My 11 year old and I just took my 5 year old on this hike.  It was a perfect hike; lots of ups and down, but nothing difficult.  The trail is very well marked and was a great trail for teaching my 5 year old to read trail markers.

Trail has been repaired
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.  In response to your comments, John Moran, North Jersey Trails Chair, visited the park and found that a section of the trail (where you stated that there were no trail markers in sight) was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.  He removed most of the blowdowns, reblazed this section, and will be making further improvements.  The trail is now in good condition.
