POWWW is a land acquisition and preservation group located in Morris County. POWWW is 28 years old and helped acquire Jonathan Woods in conjunction with Morris County Park Commission. This is a 650-acre undeveloped park in Denville, Rockaway, and Boonton Townships containing 12 miles of hiking trails. POWWW maintains all trails and also establishes connections with surrounding parks, including Wildcat Ridge. We hold several events during the year, including guided wildflower and birding hikes.
