It was a transformative day of conservation, community, and action.

On March 10, 2026, our Stewardship team joined conservation partners across the region to co-organize an incredible event—Restoring the Living Landscape Together: A Lower Hudson Stewardship Conference, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York.

Over 200 attendees gathered for a robust lineup of presentations and workshops focused on ecological restoration across the Hudson Valley.

Highlights included a keynote speech by renowned author Tony Hiss, rapid-fire presentations from over 15 environmental coalitions, and breakout sessions addressing our region’s top conservation priorities.

The day hummed with collaborative energy. Advocates, volunteers, and land partners forged new coalitions, deepened connections, and renewed their commitment to protecting the living landscape of the lower Hudson Valley. Trail Conference Stewardship Communications Coordinator Krysti Sabins championed the success of the dynamic event:

“This conference was a powerful reminder of what community-driven conservation can achieve. Our Stewardship team is grateful to have been a part of it and excited for what this means for the future of restoration in the lower Hudson Valley.”

Thank you to Westchester County Parks for co-organizing this conference. And thank you to all our partners and presenters who made the day possible!
