Conservation Corps Invasives Strike Force

Join the fight to safeguard the Lower Hudson Valley’s natural habitats with our dedicated team tackling invasive species.

Invasives Strike Force

The Invasives Strike Force (ISF), a vital part of the Trail Conference Conservation Corps and funded by Lower Hudson PRISM, is dedicated to tackling invasive species in the Lower Hudson Valley. This AmeriCorps team works on the front lines to eradicate, contain, and prevent the spread of harmful invasives, safeguarding our habitats.

Our ISF crew spends their summers outdoors, gaining hands-on conservation experience and making a real environmental impact. They use advanced techniques to manage terrestrial invasive plants and support crucial data management. In 2020, the crew surveyed 270 acres, managed invasives on 76 acres, and removed nearly 40,000 invasive plants, demonstrating their dedication to preserving the natural beauty and health of the region.
