Pine Meadow Lake is popular spot for day hikes in Harriman State Park. It's easily accessible by car and public transportation. The Pine Meadow Trail runs 5.5 miles from Reeves Meadow Visitors Center to the north shore of Pine Meadow Lake. It uses blazes that are red on white.

One of the best ways to experience Pine Meadow Lake is to hike a 5.5 mile loop using Pine Meadow Trail, Raccoon Brook Hills Trail and the Hillburn-Torne-Sebago (HTS) Trail.
