Member Clubs Support Trails:

The Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is a nonprofit dedicated to conserving wild lands and waters through conservation, advocacy, education, and responsible recreation. ADK North Jersey-Ramapo offers volunteer-led hikes to parks and preserves, including Harriman State Park and other nearby areas. We offer three to four hikes each week, year-round, guided by experienced leaders. Members receive an emailed quarterly newsletter with updates on outings and events, including our annual holiday party. Non-members can join us for a few hikes before deciding on membership. AMC-DV is one of the Philadelphia area’s largest and most active outdoor clubs, with 4,500 local members and 800+ outdoor activities each year. We’re active in and around Greater Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond. We invite you to join us on one of our trips, including hiking, paddling (canoeing and kayaking), backpacking, biking, trail maintenance, conservation, outdoor education, and more. Most activities are free, and all are led by trained and experienced leaders!

The club’s mission is to support, maintain, and promote safe, sustainable, and enjoyable trails within Byram Township; foster and coordinate volunteer stewardship and conservation of natural areas; and encourage community participation in outdoor recreation.

Who are we?
CMCNY is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985 by a group of outdoor enthusiasts who devoted their leisure time to participate and organize outdoor trips for the local Chinese community. Today, CMCNY has more than 190 members and organizes more than 70 activities each year.

What do we do?
Hiking, biking, camping, skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, roller-blading, canoeing and more. Help preserve wildness area by cleaning trail paths, educate people to develop an environmental consciousness.

Who can join the Club?
Everyone is welcome. Whether you are a first time hiker or a sophisticated traveler. CMCNY offers all levels of activities to fit your own ability.

The Finger Lakes Trail Conference, Inc. (FLTC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of dues-paying members and governed by a Board of Managers duly elected by its membership under its written Bylaws. The mission of the FLTC is “… to build, protect, enhance, and promote a continuous footpath across New York State for the enjoyment and health of residents and visitors. Forever!” The FLTC was founded in 1962. It works in cooperation with its members and various organizations to develop and maintain a premier hiking trail system in New York.

Flat Rock Brook offers a variety of opportunities to connect with and appreciate nature throughout the year—from hiking to public programming to volunteering. Visitors come to enjoy the quiet and beauty of our preserve or to learn about our habitats through our programs and interpretive nature center. We are committed to preserving and protecting Garret Mountain and Rifle Camp Parks in Passaic Co., NJ. We offer birding, botany, and general walks. Members welcome.

We plan hikes, lectures, trips, cleanups, and various activities throughout the year. Most are free. We help maintain and promote passive recreation on the 3.5-mile Greenway and trails in Teaneck. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization run by volunteers.

The Hudson Highlands Nature Center is a nonprofit (501c3) center for nature, with a focus on Nature Education and Nature Play. We use our living collections of native animals, natural habitats, nature play spaces like Grasshopper Grove, and trails to present a wide variety of programs at our two locations, the Outdoor Discovery Campus (ODC) and Wildlife Education Campus (WEC). Over the years we have developed an array of hands-on, experiential education programs to help children and families establish a meaningful connection to the natural world. The Nature Center is a leading provider of Nature Education experiences in the Hudson Valley that reaches over 30,000 people each year through our popular preschool program, weekend nature programs, summer camp, school programs, and more!

The Interstate Hiking Club is a medium-sized hiking club that is affiliated with the NY/NJ Trail Conference and has been a trail-maintaining club since 1931. Most of our activities are centered in the NY/NJ area. Some hikes, bicycle rides, and canoe trips are farther away. Trips or events may just be for the day or are sometimes for a week. Guests may attend 3 events before becoming members. IHC rules apply to participants who attend through meetup. Membership in IHC is $10 a year. Ask your leader about membership!

Hikes, bicycle rides, and canoe trips generally are scheduled for every Sunday, and some Fridays and Saturdays, as day-long outings.
