Longtime supporters of the New York/New Jersey Trail Conference gathered Sunday at Sun Valley Farm on Ramapo Valley Road to help raise the $100,000 the organization needs to secure a $500,000 donation.
The group was challenged by The Bolger Foundation in March to raise $1 million by Nov. 1. If it meets that goal, the foundation will donate $500,000, helping it reach a final tally of $2.5 million to complete the interior restoration of the Darlington Schoolhouse, about 2.5 miles away from the Ramapo Valley Mountain trail entrance on Ramapo Valley Road
