Help monitor the health of our forests while documenting invasive and native species along our trails…Become a Sticky Sage Surveyor Volunteer!

sticky sage surveyor volunteer position header

Protect the land you love by helping us find and report invasive sticky sage along the Appalachian Trail (between Pawling, NY, and Kent, CT)! With the provided resources, you will learn to identify this invasive plant species, determine whether it is present along the trail as you hike, and report any sightings to iNaturalist. Data from these community-powered surveys helps make management decisions to prevent the further spread of sticky sage into our natural areas, protecting our region’s rich biodiversity.

If you plan to hike within this section of the AT, please join our efforts to report this invasive species!
